Fraglia Vela Riva Hosts Second National 29er Regatta on Lake Garda

The 2nd National 29er Regatta is underway at Lake Garda, hosted by Fraglia Vela Riva following the recent election of Chiara Carloni as club president. Over fifty 29er teams from Italy and abroad, including Estonia, Germany, Hungary, and Slovenia, are competing in the event supported by the Italian Nacra-9er Association. The regatta’s first warning signal is scheduled for Friday at 1:00 PM.

This event comes five weeks after the season opener in Quartu Sant’Elena, won by Emilia Salvatori and Pietro Rizzi. The competition features top national crews and international teams, with a maximum of 12 races planned and two discard scores after the fourth and ninth races. Nine race officials, led by Chairman Claudio Maza and Jury President Elisa D’Ippolito, are overseeing the event, with coaching provided by Luigi Rago.
