They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurant owners in the Middle and Upper Garda regions, offering subscriptions to magazines of the force.

They are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, each time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or municipal police.

They often suggest subscriptions to fake magazines or publications that have nothing to do with law enforcement forces.
