Fraudulent Calls Impersonating Carabinieri Offer Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines of the force.

They are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, each time, claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire brigade, or municipal guards.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or ones that have nothing to do with the law enforcement.
