Fraudulent Calls Impersonating Carabinieri Targeting Garda Businesses

They pose as Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

They are not soldiers, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire department, or the municipal police.

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement.
