French Dance Group Quat’zart Performs ‘A Fuego Lento’ at Gardone Riviera

Feature dance, tonight, Thursday, July 20. At the Vittoriale di Gardone Riviera, the French group Quat’zart presents «A fuego lento». A fuego lento – a «co-ownership» performance, this show will be presented at 9:30 PM in the Gardone amphitheater by the French ensemble led by Catherine Berbessou. A fuego lento is part of the Gardadanza program, organized by Gardaeventi, and is also included in the Vittoriale program.

The performance will be repeated on July 23 in the city, in the courtyard of the locomotive at Castello, for the «Festa della danza». The central focus of the choreography is tango, here presented in its most contemporary version: music that, while not indulging in folklore, manages to preserve its elegance and the sensual charge that made it famous.

History and significance of the performance

For Brescians, «A fuego lento» is not new. The show, in fact, opened the 1998 edition, the first edition, of Gardadanza. «We decided to re-invite this company – explains Gigi Cristoforetti, the artistic director of the festival – because, in recent years, Catherine Berbessou has been gaining increasing recognition internationally. This invitation, in short, is a tribute to a great choreographer».
