Garda Area Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, craftsmen, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to the Arma magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance authorities, police, fire brigades, or the Municipal police.

Recognizing scams

They often propose subscriptions to fake magazines or publications that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.
