Garda Area Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Trick Local Businesses

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, craftsmen, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda area, proposing subscriptions to magazines of the force.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal police.

They often offer subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to the law enforcement.
