Garda Community Opens Bardolino Satellite Office at Villa Carrara Bottagisio

Bardolino officially hosts a new detached office of the Comunità del Garda at Villa Carrara Bottagisio, a historic site on the Veronese shore. The move creates a strategic hub to coordinate activities around Lake Garda and strengthen Bardolino’s role in protecting, promoting, and developing the area.

The Bardolino branch complements the main office in Salò and is tasked with governance on key issues such as safety, mobility, tourism, and strategic planning. The Verona-based presence aims to improve coordination among municipalities and provinces around the lake, with the mayor highlighting the arrangement as a stable logistical base and a driver for closer regional cooperation, including Bardolino’s and Garda’s bid for Capital of Culture.

At the inauguration, Mariastella Gelmini, president of the Comunità del Garda, said the new sede strengthens ties across the lake, noting two priority themes: cooperation with the Coast Guard to enhance safety and a coordinated approach to mobility. Bertasi thanked Gelmini, calling the opening a concrete signal of attention to the Verona shore and a step toward more integrated, sustainable lake governance.
