Garda Events Highlights: Festivals, Concerts, and Local Promotions
Last weekend of August highlighting festivities in honor of the guests, patronal festivals, and concerts around Garda and the surrounding areas. TODAY. Three days in Lazise with the guest festival and the promotion of local products: oil, wine, and fruit, while in Costermano, the «Quarta d’Agosto»—an ancient and traditional celebration with bell-ringing competitions—has been ongoing since yesterday and concludes on Monday. In Piazza Calderini in Torri at 9 p.m., Edoardo Vianello performs, with his famous songs from the Sixties summer (who doesn’t remember the Watussi?). In Malcesine, a lyrical recital at the castle theater featuring soprano Alba Riccioli and pianist Antonio Castagna (€10,000 lire). In Bedizzole in Brescia, an evening with the last semifinal of the Cantalago, while in Drena in the Upper Garda Trentino, a snack tour begins at 1:30 p.m. at Castel Drena; in Gargnano, at 9 p.m., Maurizio Vandelli, the “prince” of the Equipe 84, performs.

The streets of the historic center of Bardolino host an exhibition of visual arts titled «Uno Due e … Tle»; in Peschiera, the final regattas of the bisse races for the 2000 Lake Flag; in Lazise, the guest festival features water buoyancy games at the port, along with music and dancing along the lakeside promenade. At the Garda Conference Palace at 9 p.m., a concert curated by Stefano Romani; in Torri, two days of the 16th edition of the philatelic and numismatic event. In the upper lake area, a concert at the Pavesi Park in Torbole titled «Le soliste di Venezia» at 9:15 p.m., and a guided, free tour (10 a.m. to 12 p.m.) of Riva.
On Garda Brescians, at the Vittoriale Theater in Gardone Riviera, the musical «Cats – The Lion King»; in Bogliaco, the «Mechanical Bull Tournament» at 8 p.m. in the square, followed by the Festa at Velavento Arena at 9 p.m.; in Cisano di S. Felice del Benaco, two days of the Feast of San Giovanni Decollato; folk dances at 9 p.m. in Piazza D’Annunzio in Padenghe, and an evening with the New Jazz Band in Sirmione. In Riva, a concert by Tima Brauer & Elias Meiri Ensemble; in Sirmione, at 9 p.m., a South American evening at the Galeazzi beach; and a performance by the local band in Desenzano.
