The Garda Express was fully booked during its historic journey from Milan to Desenzano del Garda, which took place on September 1, 2024. Organized by the Transport and Sustainable Mobility Department of the Lombardy Region in collaboration with the Italian State Railways Foundation, the train made stops in Treviglio and Brescia, offering travelers a chance to relax by the shores of Lake Garda.
Franco Lucente, the regional transport assessor, emphasized the success of the initiative, which includes 20 historic trips scheduled until November. Among the new features are connections between Milan and Genoa and free inclusion for bicycles and children up to 14 years old. The departure from Desenzano was set for 3:50 PM, with an expected arrival in Brescia at 4:13 PM.
