Garda Festival and Lake Garda: a short film about Orpheus

The Garda Festival recently showcased the short film “Orfeo” at the Venice International Film Festival on August 27. The screening took place at the Spazio Regione Veneto/Veneto Film Commission at the Excelsior Hotel, featuring directors Maximilien Seren-Piccinni and Francesco Meatta, along with actors Costanza Giuntini and Emanuele Savròn. This co-production with the ICNN in Bologna marks an important addition to the cultural festival, which has been enriching summers on Lake Garda with artistic events for three years, under the high patronage of various institutions.

During the presentation, Seren-Piccinni emphasized the connection between the myth of Orpheus and the essence of the festival, while Savròn shared his enthusiastic experience of transitioning from music to film. The movie was shot in picturesque locations such as Lazise, highlighting the natural beauty of the area and inviting the audience to participate in future editions of the Garda Festival, which promises to further expand cultural events dedicated to cinema and the performing arts.
