Garda Festival Debuts in Bussolengo With Music, Shows, and Charity
Not even time to wrap up the stage in Volta Mantovana before the Garda Festival is back on stage.
Tonight the debut takes place in the Veronese territory, in Bussolengo, at Piazza XXVI Aprile, starting at 9:30 PM.
As is tradition, the footwear center inaugurates the singing festival of patron Enrico Bianchini on the Riviera degli Olivi (Bussolengo is part of the Apt 12).
Presentation and Participants
The show, curated by artistic director Andrea Vantini, will be presented by Susanna Huckstep, who in the distant 1984, at only fourteen years old, became Italy’s youngest queen of the most important national beauty contest.
For the singing competition, contestants in the interpretive section will include Elisa Chesini from Pescantina (Luce – Elisa), Gaetano Gastaldo from Monteforte d’Alpone (Concerto – Umberto Bindi), Martina Spadaro from Sant’Ambrogio di Valpolicella (New York, New York by Liza Minelli), and Simone Turri from Verona (Per averti by Adriano Celentano).
In the original songs category, the competition is between Antonio Fiorello from Villafranca (Cambia, cambia) and Katia Tarocco from Garda (In un cielo di ali).
Shows and Charity
The show will be complemented by performances from the dance troupe Gamblers, directed by choreographer Nando De Bortoli, the rap group Matross, and comedian Roberto De Marchi.
Joining them is Elisa Antonelli with her Innamorata ancora, from the second production of Cantalago, and the Desenzano-based Diletta Orlandi.
During the evening, it will be possible to purchase a CD featuring the best songs from the Festival del Garda.
The proceeds from the sales (ten thousand lire per CD) will be donated to the Salomè project for children’s sponsorship programs in Ambodivona, Madagascar, assisted by don Raffaello Serafini and don Romeo Cecchetto.
