Garda Fraud Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri for Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering magazine subscriptions from the army.

They are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to be part of the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.
