The Garda Karate Team successfully participated in the Hungarian Tatami Cup, held in Budapest, Hungary, on March 7. A group of 12 athletes, accompanied by coaches and parents, embarked on a long journey to take part in this international competition, which featured 81 teams and 526 athletes from across Europe. During the event, the young karatekas distinguished themselves through their commitment and determination, facing challenges with a sportsmanlike spirit.
Among the achievements, the bronze medal won by Fabio Venosta stands out, showcasing his great tenacity on the tatami. The event was organized by Zsuzsanna Klima, a renowned Hungarian karateka and the female kumite world vice champion. The competition provided participants with the opportunity to face new opponents and experience a unique formative journey within the European karate scene.
