Garda Karate Team Wins Gold at 2026 FIJLKAM Open League in Messina with Vigevani
The third round of the FIJLKAM Open League 2026, held at PalaRescifina in Messina, saw the Garda Karate Team compete in a tournament with over 1,000 karatekas from 250 clubs. Representing the club in the Cadets categories were Isabella Vigevani and Fabio Venosta.
Vigevani won gold in the Cadets -61 kg category, earning points for the federal ranking and moving up to fifth place in the Italian category ranking. Venosta, competing in Cadets -70 kg, recorded three wins before being eliminated before the medal zone, finishing with an 11th place position in the national ranking. The event awarded FIJLKAM ranking points, with Open League rounds listed among the competitions with the highest scoring value after the Italian Championships.
