On Sunday, April 13, the Garda Karate Team celebrated the fourth edition of the Garda Lake Cup, a highly successful event held in Castenedolo (BS) that also marked the fourth stage of the 15th CSEN Lombardia Trophy. The organizers, with the assistance of coaches and volunteers, set up the venue to ensure a memorable day, welcoming notable guests including Mayor Pierluigi Bianchini and sports councilor Alberto Belpietro, both of whom were enthusiastic about the initiative. The event had a significant social impact, thanks to the presence of the mothers from the “Insieme per un Sorriso” Association from Gavardo, who are dedicated to supporting families with disabled children.
The competition kicked off in the morning with the performance of the National Anthem and featured athletes competing in kata and kumite, including participants in para karate who showcased their skills in various events. During the event, two educational projects developed by the Garda Karate Team were also presented: the Yuuki Karate Game, aimed at local preschool children, and the Future Lions Project, designed for younger children aged 3 to 5 in Manerba. To wrap up the day in celebration, the young athletes participated in playful activities accompanied by the mascot Yuuki, making this edition of the Garda Lake Cup an unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.
