Garda Lake Water Quality Confirmed by Local Health Tests
The Garda Lake confirms its good health. This is supported by tests conducted by the ASL (Local Health Authority). Out of a total of 125 sampling points along the entire perimeter of Benaco, only two beaches were found to be non-bather-friendly, one on the Brescia shore and the other on the Verona side, according to strict regulations.
On the Brescia side, swimmers are prohibited from entering the water at Località Santa Giulia (Padenghe); on the Verona side, swimming is forbidden at località Palazzo 2 (Peschiera). The water temperature remains between 20-25°C, with visibility at depths ranging from 3 to 7 meters.
The air temperature is 24°C at night and 35°C during the day. Everything is fine, therefore, except that for the past few days, between Gargnano and Toscolano, the water has exhibited a strange blue-turquoise color.
