The city of Salò is getting ready to host the 65th edition of the Summer Music Festival of Lake Garda, a renowned international violin festival named after “Gasparo da Salò”. The event, which will take place in various charming locations, will feature world-famous artists and promises unforgettable evenings of great music.

The festival will kick off on Saturday, July 20th at 9:30 PM in the splendid setting of Piazza Duomo with the event “Summer Classics”. The Covent Garden Soloists™, with the talented violinist Vasko Vassilev as the main protagonist, will inaugurate the event.

Another unmissable appointment is scheduled for Sunday, July 28th, also at 9:30 PM and again in Piazza Duomo. The Turkish Youth Philharmonic Orchestra will take center stage with the concert “Grand Tour 2024”. The violin of Anastasiya Petryshak and the orchestral direction of Cem Mansur promise an evening full of musical emotions.

On Friday, August 2nd, at 9:30 PM, Piazza Duomo will host the event “Homage to Gasparo”, a special tribute dedicated to the famous Brescian luthier Gasparo da Salò. The Bottesini Orchestra, under the direction of Enrico Fagone, will see Simon Zhu on violin and Fabrizio Buzzi as the first solo double bass.

The last event of the festival will take place on Saturday, August 10th, at 9:30 PM in the evocative Chiostro del MuSa – Museo di Salò. The concert “Stradivari vs Gasparo” will highlight the skills of musicians Iskandar Widjaja on violin, Friedrich Wengler on piano, and Paul Kleber on double bass.
