Garda Rowing Championship: Verona, Brescia Lead in Exciting Finish
An electrifying finish awaited the Garda rowing championship, which, however, remains a distinctly Venetian challenge with two races remaining until the end. In the eighth regatta, held on Sunday night after being postponed from Saturday due to rain and the lake’s choppy waters, it was the Verona crews who sealed the victory in the two most important heats. Notably in the “forts” heats, with Garda winning against their cousins from Bardolino and Ichtya of Peschiera dominating the field in the previous race. The other two heats were claimed by teams from Brescia, with Sebina, a boat from Lake Iseo, winning the opening race, and Serenissima of Salò taking the second heat.
Results and Recognitions
The teams competed in an atmosphere of great enthusiasm and rivalry, highlighting the growing passion for rowing in the Garda area.
