Garda Rowing Palio Winners Achieve Long-Awaited Victory

According to pre-race expectations, it was supposed to be the day for Garda’s bissaioli. And the prediction turned out to be spot on, like never before.

Finally, after narrowly missing victory four times in the previous four events, the quartet of rowers from Associazione La Rocca di Garda (composed of Matteo Pincini, Michele Bertoncelli, Ferdinando Sala, and Alberto Malfer) made the decisive move, claiming the coveted evening prize that had always eluded them — awarded to the winners of each final of the itinerant Garda Rowing Palio.

A final with high potential

This time, the final was packed with potential, fueled by a mix of competitiveness and emotion, amplified by the enthusiastic crowd that formed a wall along the entire Marconi lakeside promenade.

The audience was largely made up of representatives from the cosmopolitan tourism that, more than ever, floods the Garda Riviera during summer.
