Garda Scam Alert: Fake Authorities Target Local Businesses

They pose as Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to the army‘s magazines.

They are not military personnel, but criminals who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance authorities, police, firefighters, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize scams
