Garda Stories Presents Conferences on Brescia’s Upper Garda
Garda Storie returns in 2026 with a series of diffuse conferences on the history and traditions of the Alto Garda Bresciano, staged across multiple localities from May 5 to June 23. The events bring culture into piazzas and historic sites and are open to everyone, including residents and tourists.
Promoted with support from the Comune di Toscolano Maderno and other local bodies, the program features talks in different venues linked to specific themes, led by historians, researchers, and local enthusiasts. Topics range from medieval village history to olive and papermaking culture, 20th‑century wartime events, and living traditions in Toscolano Maderno’s frazioni. Attendance is free; details and venue information are available on the Comune di Toscolano Maderno website or at the Biblioteca Civica. The cycle runs seven weeks, ending on June 23, 2026.
