Garda Trentino Half Marathon: Preparations Kick Off as Schools Rally in Riva del Garda
The Garda Trentino Half Marathon is entering the final phase of preparations for its 24th edition on November 8, with 7,000 bibs available across four competitions and promotional activities aimed at the territory and schools.
In recent days, Organizing Committee president Sandro Poli, together with sector representatives, met with students from Liceo economico-sportivo Itet Giacomo Floriani di Riva del Garda in the event “From idea to podium – Journey into the gears of the organizing machine,” introduced by Mayor Alessio Zanoni and featuring Marco Cillis on territorial sponsorship. The gathering highlighted the 77 nations represented in the previous edition. Students in the third and fourth years explored the event’s structure, including safety plans, traffic management, medical services, volunteer roles, and participant services, as well as marketing, press office, TV production, and social media.
The Committee also confirmed collaborations with Don Milani Institute of Rovereto, Gardascuola, and Enaip of Riva del Garda, involving students in practical roles during race days.
