Garda Uno Kicks Off Dawn Recycling to Cut Noise Across Municipalities
Dawn-time differentiated waste collection is carried out by Garda Uno in municipalities served by early-morning pickup schedules, with operations starting at dawn to reduce traffic, limit waste exposure to heat, and finish before tourist crowds, in response to residents’ complaints about morning noise.
Official Garda Uno communications say service hours are set in agreements with the Municipal Administration, and staff are trained to reduce noise during loading and unloading of bins and baskets, with particular attention to moving glass.
