Gardaland, one of Italy’s most renowned amusement parks, has officially opened its new attraction for 2024: “Wolf Legend”. This unique Drop & Twist Tower promises to provide thrills for visitors of all ages.

The inauguration was marked by a spectacular fireworks display and the presence of CEO Sabrina de Carvalho, who kicked off the season with an innovative “ribbon cutting” using a flaming torch. The new attraction is inspired by the legend of a petrified wolf, standing over 16 meters tall, that visitors must free by throwing themselves into its jaws.

An Immersive Adventure

The experience begins at the entrance of the attraction, where a towering tree trunk transformed by a curse welcomes adventurers. On board a gondola and accompanied by ritual chants, participants ascend an octagonal tower adorned with mysterious symbols and extraordinary lighting effects. Once reaching a height of 25 meters, the brave individuals plunge through dense clouds of smoke into the jaws of the petrified wolf. During the ride, they are lifted and dropped multiple times and rotate around the axis of the tower, creating a truly captivating experience.

Significant Investments

Sabrina de Carvalho emphasized that this new attraction is the result of the work of Merlin Entertainments’ Creative Team, which took into account the preferences expressed by visitors through internal surveys. “Every year, we invest in infrastructure and services to continuously improve our offerings,” said de Carvalho. The total investment for the current season amounts to approximately 14 million euros and includes not only the creation of “Wolf Legend” but also new shows and extraordinary maintenance throughout the resort.

International Attendance

The resort continues to attract both Italian (54%) and international visitors, with a particular focus on guests from the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). Reservations are in line with previous years’ forecasts, aiming for an occupancy rate of 95-98% during the summer.

New Shows

The show lineup features several novelties: the Gardaland Theatre presents “!MPOSSIBLE,” a magic and illusion show that is enjoying great success, while the 4D cinema screens the timeless classic “LOONEY TUNES™ 4D”. Additionally, numerous Street Animations are scattered throughout the park, with artists ready to engage visitors in fun adventures.

Summer Events

From June 15th to September 8th, Gardaland will host the summer season with “Gardaland Night is Magic,” offering evening openings until 11:00 pm. The highlight will be the Gardaland Summer Festival on June 22nd, featuring RTL 102.5 until 1:00 am. The special guests of the edition will be Articolo 31, who will transform Jumanji Square into an open-air disco.

With these new initiatives and immersive experiences, Gardaland continues to establish itself as one of Europe’s most beloved tourist destinations, attracting families and groups of friends eager to experience unforgettable days in the heart of Lake Garda.
