Gardaland SEA LIFE Marks Mediterranean Sea and Shark Day With Educational Activities

Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium will run a family-focused programme from 8 to 14 July to mark International Mediterranean Sea Day (8 July) and World Shark Day (14 July), aiming to raise awareness about the Mediterranean Sea and sharks. The schedule includes the interactive game “Jack Paletta’s Treasure Hunt” on 8, 12 and 14 July at 11:00 (outdoor area, by booking) and educational shark talks on 9, 10, 11 and 13 July.

The talks will cover shark biology, ecology and ethology, as well as those of rays. At the end of the activities, participants will receive a certificate, a gadget and information about the EU LIFE European Sharks project (LIFE22-GOV-IT-LIFE EU SHARKS 101114031), launched in 2023 and set to run for four years. Coordinated by the Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn with partners in Croatia, France and Italy, the project also offers participants the option to support conservation activities through voluntary donations to SEA LIFE Trust.
