GardaStorie Wraps Up With Conference on Tourism, Fascism and Postwar Renewal in Pieve di Tremosine

GardaStorie will close its season with a talk on tourism during the fascist era, World War II and the post-war “renaissance,” scheduled for Tuesday, June 23 at 8:30 pm at Must in Pieve di Tremosine. The event, titled “Fascismo, guerra e rinascita: i diversi volti del turismo sul lago di Garda (1943-1947),” will be led by Maria Paola Pasini, a lecturer and researcher at Università Cattolica di Brescia, and is free of charge until seats run out.

The conference will examine how the hospitality industry evolved between 1943 and 1947. It is the final of seven appointments organized by ASAR in collaboration with Università Cattolica di Brescia, with support from municipalities in the Upper Garda area; five of the previous six events sold out, and the series involved around a dozen local cultural and museum institutions.
