Inauguration on Sunday and traffic opening on Monday, July 9. This is the most likely scenario for the «Gardesana occidentale» between Limone and Riva. The decision remains contingent only on any unforeseen issues that might arise between tomorrow and Sunday.

However, unless any other measures are taken, the Rocchetta tunnel is expected to be inaugurated on the evening of Sunday, July 8, while, starting from Monday morning, the Anas personnel will proceed with the removal of the signage placed along the entire state highway at the time of the traffic shutdown.

Afterward, approval will be granted for everyone, nearly three weeks ahead of the original completion date set for July 28.

There are no official confirmations, although many indications suggest that it will be the president himself who will cut the ribbon.

Everyone is keeping quiet, although there are whispers about the timing of the ceremony (between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.), after the presidential helicopter lands in Limone.

It remains to be decided whether the president will reach the new tunnel (located in Trentino territory) by road or by boat. The hypothesis that Ciampi will attend is supported by the sight of multiple helicopters circling overhead and by the maritime patrols carried out in recent days around the Rocchetta area.

But, for now, the only certain thing is the opening of the road.
