Gardone Riviera: Caterina de’ Medici Institute Wins Re-Power Your Future Award
The Caterina de’ Medici Hospitality Institute in Gardone Riviera won the national Re‑Power Your Future prize, awarded by the UniCredit Foundation as the best Business Plan at the Campionati dell’Imprenditorialità for its Exploria project. The national ceremony took place in Rome after a regional selection in Milan, and Mayor Adelio Zeni recently hosted students and teachers in the municipal council chamber to celebrate the result.
The winning project, developed as a Digital Concierge for proximity tourism with recommendations within a 50-kilometer radius, was created by students under the guidance of Antonella Desiati, Andrea Marmentini, and Cristina Gnaccarini. It was validated at H‑Farm College and presented at a conference of the Università Cattolica di Brescia, in the presence of Garda Unico and Bcc del Garda representatives. School principal Maria Luisa Orlandi noted that the institution is exploring practical applications of the app, with Armando Persico of Junior Achievement Italia accompanying the training path.
