This morning, August 22, 2025, the traffic in Gargnano faced severe disruptions due to a truck stuck in a tunnel on the Gardesana road. Long queues formed in both directions north of the town, as the truck attempted to access the arch-shaped tunnels leading towards the 45 bis, disregarding the no-entry signs already placed in Salò and Toscolano Maderno. Thanks to the prompt intervention of the Local Police of Gargnano and Anas maintenance teams, more serious consequences were avoided.
The situation also required the intervention of the fire brigade to manage the challenges posed by the size of the heavy vehicle. It was only around 1:00 PM that traffic began to flow again after the truck was removed to a rest area. The day thus concluded with a partial return to normalcy for motorists along the only artery connecting the lakeside towns.
