On the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, on January 25, a theatrical performance titled “124 Seconds” will take place in Gargnano, produced by Teatro Telaio and CTB – Centro Teatrale Bresciano. The event, part of the “Gargnano at the Theatre” series, will be held at 8:30 PM at the parish theatre located at Via della Repubblica 22, with free admission.
The play recounts the boxing match that took place on June 22, 1938, between Max Schmeling and Joe Louis, symbolizing the struggle between Nazism and Western democracy. Through the performances of Alessandro Mor and Alessandro Quattro, the narrative highlights how a sporting event can be manipulated by propaganda, while a deep friendship between the two boxers unfolds in the background, transcending the rivalries in the ring.
