Gavardo has witnessed an important operation targeting abandoned properties on the morning of Friday, May 2, thanks to the collaboration between the local Carabinieri and the Valle Sabbia Local Police. The operation focused on two disused buildings, known for reports of illegal occupations and suspicious presences. During the raid, one of the buildings was inspected and found to be unoccupied; however, the authorities proceeded to seal off entrances and windows to prevent future unauthorized access.
In addition to the inspections of the abandoned buildings, law enforcement identified a homeless man in a nearby parking lot, advising him to contact a shelter. These operations are part of a strategic plan promoted by the Municipal Administration and the Carabinieri to enhance urban safety and combat issues of decay and illegality in the area. Further checks are scheduled for the coming days to monitor situations related to irregular immigration and petty crime.
