In the late afternoon of yesterday, Friday, May 23, a significant oil spill was reported along the roadway in the Busela area, within the territory of Gavardo, between the Soprazzocco exit and the road for quarry workers. The incident necessitated an immediate response from the Local Police of Valle Sabbia, which dispatched three patrols to secure the area. Workers, coordinated by the technical office, began the operations to make the road section safe, while the Garda Volunteers were called in to support the efforts due to the emergency situation.
Investigations by the authorities are already underway to identify the vehicle responsible for the spill, which affected a stretch of approximately two kilometers. Due to the unsafe conditions created by the presence of the liquid on the roadway, it became necessary to implement a traffic closure to prevent possible accidents. The prompt intervention of the authorities allowed for effective management of the critical situation.
