Gavardo Police Conduct Crackdown, Arrest Man for Theft and Issue Penalties for Violations

Garda Notes reports that extraordinary checks were carried out in Gavardo on Thursday by local Carabinieri and the Municipal Police, supported by a drug-sniffing dog unit from Brescia. During inspections in the town center, a man with prior police records was detained for theft after attempting to sell stolen goods from another store; the drug dog activity found no irregularities.

The commercial inspection also uncovered multiple violations, including poor hygiene, expired products, missing price tags, and lack of fire extinguishers. Fines exceeded €4,000, and authorities announced that similar inspections will continue in the coming months.
