The Postumiae Antiquarium Archaeological Museum of Gazoldo degli Ippoliti was recently inaugurated, with a presentation held on Thursday, the 27th, at the Rocca Palatina. This museum aims to enhance the historical artifacts related to the Roman consular road Postumia, established in 148 BC. The collection, which comprises approximately 3,000 archaeological finds, was transferred to Gazoldo degli Ippoliti in 2021 thanks to an agreement between the local administration and various collaborating entities. The restoration and setup of the museum were funded through the PNRR call, focusing on removing physical and cognitive barriers to promote more inclusive access to culture.

The exhibition path spans two floors and includes six thematic rooms covering a timeframe of about 9,000 years, from the Neolithic to the Roman Age. Each room is equipped with downloadable audio guides and multimedia tools designed to facilitate access for visitors with diverse needs, including those with visual and hearing impairments. This initiative represents a significant step towards greater community participation in local cultural life, reaffirming the museum’s central role in enhancing the archaeological heritage of the region.
