Gino Cecchettin Leads Riva del Garda Forum on Gender Violence Prevention

On April 13, Riva del Garda will host the event “Più forti della violenza” focused on preventing gender-based violence. The event features Gino Cecchettin, who founded the Giulia Cecchettin Foundation after his daughter Giulia was murdered in November 2023, and sociologist Alessia Toselli. Cecchettin will speak about transforming personal tragedy into activism and the importance of prevention through education and sport.

Organized by Pallavolo C9 Arco-Riva as part of the “She Leads” project, the event aims to promote gender equity in sports and society. It is open to the public with prior reservation and is part of broader initiatives by the Alto Garda and Ledro inter-municipal anti-violence group. The foundation continues Giulia’s legacy by advocating for change and supporting victims of violence.
