Giorgio de Chirico Exhibition Opens in Desenzano Showcasing Return to Order
Giorgio de Chirico’s works are at the center of the exhibition “Giorgio de Chirico. A Timeless World” at Desenzano Castle, running from May 17 to October 4, 2026. The exhibit features around 20 pieces by de Chirico, including paintings from museums and private collections, sketches related to the play “La figlia di Iorio,” and photographs by Claudio Abate and Mario Dondero, with a focus on the artists associated with the Return to Order movement.
Additional highlights include works by Alberto Savinio, Mario Tozzi, Filippo de Pisis, and Mario Sironi. The exhibition is curated by Giordano Bruno Guerri and organized by Il Cigno Arte. Visiting hours are Tuesday to Thursday from 9:30 to 12:30, and Friday to Sunday from 9:30 to 18:30. Ticket prices are €15 full and €7 reduced, with free entry for residents of Desenzano del Garda, children up to 10, disabled persons with certification, and certain group and school visitors.
