Giovanni Franzoni, a 2001-born skier from Manerba del Garda and member of the Fiamme Gialle, achieved notable results in World Cup speed events over the weekend. After finishing third in Val Gardena, he secured a victory in Wengen’s downhill and earned a podium finish the following day.

His performances garnered praise from Swiss champion Marco Odermatt. Franzoni’s upcoming major event is his first Olympic appearance at the Milano Cortina Winter Games, following a successful junior career that includes three gold medals, one silver, one bronze, and a 2022 Europa Cup title.
