Giuseppe Borgese, President of the City Council of Lonato del Garda, has been elected to the ANCI Giovani Lombardia Committee during the Assembly of the National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI) held in Milan on March 1st. This body represents all mayors, councilors, and municipal council members in Lombardy under the age of 35 and will serve a three-year term.

Borgese expressed great enthusiasm for the role, emphasizing the importance of bringing the voice of Lonato del Garda and the province of Brescia into the Committee. “It will be a great honor for me to represent Lonato del Garda and all young administrators from Lombardy within ANCI,” he stated.

**Commitments and Perspectives for Young Administrators**

In his speech, Borgese highlighted the role of the Committee as a space for discussion and training for young local administrators. He assured his commitment to organizing future initiatives aimed at fostering growth and collaboration among municipal officials.

“I will bring a voice from Garda to this important body, which was created to provide a permanent space for discussion for young people involved in local administrations and to ensure them ongoing training,” he affirmed. He also reiterated the significance of ANCI as an opportunity to develop projects and strengthen relationships among young administrators.

Among the issues that the group of 50 young elected officials will bring to the attention of the regional and national political agenda are training and employment for youth, environmental protection, a sense of belonging to the local community, and the value of sports. In particular, Borgese emphasized the role of the Winter Olympics as an opportunity to strengthen the bond between sports and the territory.

In conclusion, he reaffirmed his commitment to representing the concerns of younger citizens: “As always, I will dedicate myself fully to this new role, aware that the task of every local administrator is to protect their territory and best represent the needs of citizens, including the younger ones.”
