Grana Padano Wheels Race Returns to Lakeside for Charity Event

The “bolidi” with wheels made of Grana Padano return to the lakeside promenade. Almost a paradox, a true impossibility of movement for cars accustomed to racing on asphalt with increasingly sophisticated tires focused on ground adhesion and passenger safety. But the skilled drivers of the “formula formalo” are now genuine champions; so much so that today the fifth championship of the formula formalo will take place, featuring the “Città di Lazise” grand prix.

The Race and the Track

The makeshift track for the race with the Grana Padano will be the Lungolago Marconi, recently resurfaced with a new asphalt layer. The start will be from the port, near the municipal campground, with the “giro di boa” in front of the Miralago hotel, at the intersection with corso Cangrande. This course offers stunning views as it is located right against the lake water. It requires increased caution from the drivers, and for the spectators, there will be heightened “suspense” as the cars approach the chicanes situated very close to the Garda shores.

Romeo Oliosi, the reigning champion of the formula formalo and the “Lino Banfi” of Verona, will serve as the team leader of the daring drivers with wheels of Grana. His skill and mastery have crossed national borders, and he will soon lead his team abroad for some sporting events in company with Grana Padano.

Charity and Collateral Initiatives

The event also has a charitable and humanitarian aspect. The proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Associazione Italiana Thalassemici e Drepanocitici, an organization supporting less fortunate individuals who require ongoing treatment for a dignified and life closer to normality.

A special gazebo will be set up in the port area to give the audience a chance to taste the “wheels” of Grana Padano and contribute to the charity. The entire event will be filmed by the crew of Telearena. So, mark your calendars for today with the “warriors of the ‘formatted’ formula.” For the audience, the spectacle is guaranteed.
