Grand Hotel Gardone: luxury restyling for the modern Belle Époque

The Grand Hotel Gardone has recently unveiled a €50 million renovation project that will transform the historic establishment into a symbol of contemporary luxury. The renovation, set to take place over the next 18 months, aims to modernize the style inspired by the Belle Époque, featuring the creation of 160 rooms, a spa, and a ballroom with a terrace overlooking the lake. While the iconic facade will remain unchanged, the interiors will be completely redesigned to reflect a contemporary and inviting elegance. The ownership stated, “A new chapter begins on Lake Garda,” emphasizing the significance of the project. Acquired in the spring of 2023 by the Lithuanian group Apex Alliance along with Paval Holding, the Grand Hotel Gardone will reopen as a luxury five-star property under the LXR Hotels & Resorts brand in 2027. The renovated spaces will include a restored entrance, an indoor pool pavilion with lake views, and dedicated meeting areas. With a total area of 16,700 square meters, the hotel will also offer exclusive dining options and a state-of-the-art wellness center, continuing the tradition that has attracted distinguished guests since its opening in 1884.
