Grrreen Festival in Bussolengo Promotes Animal-Plant Bonds

The Grrreen Festival kicks off this Saturday, June 6, at Parco Natura Viva in Bussolengo and runs for four Saturdays through June 27. Promoted by Parco Natura Viva and the Openature Foundation, the event explores the ties between animals and plants and features Kashu, the only Andean bear in Italy, who arrived in Bussolengo in recent weeks.

The program unfolds along the Sentieri dei Cinque Continenti with activities for families and children, scientific insights, and performances. Highlights include the Grrreen Detective botanical scavenger hunt, the Indovina la Pianta olfactory path, the Botanic Sunprint cyanotype, Butterfly Plants Explorer, and the edutour Lo Scarabeo d’Oro, plus a Special Talk on the Andean bear. On 27 June, initiatives by the Children’s Museum Verona and the MU‑CH will focus on the Cloud Forest; the full schedule with dates and times is available on the park’s website.
