The recent controversies surrounding the TAV station in Desenzano have raised significant concerns, particularly from the Five Star Movement. According to reports from the Territorial Infrastructure Observatory, the costs for the construction of the station, initially estimated at around 60 million euros, have now soared to approximately 200 million euros, with further increases expected until the completion of the project in 2026. City Councilor Andrea Spiller highlighted that this figure only covers the two stops on the TAV line and the historical station, excluding all the necessary ancillary works to make the infrastructure accessible.
Spiller expressed strong doubts about the actual technical and economic sustainability of the project, pointing out that the new stop would be located between two existing and nearby stations. The opposition has warned that the high costs and the isolation of the structure could lead to a “destruction of the territory” and inconveniences for citizens. The call to action is clear: a decisive response from the community and institutions is necessary to prevent what they describe as a troubling future scenario.
