A 34-year-old hiker was injured yesterday morning, Saturday, May 10, during a hike on Monte Pizzocolo, in the area of Toscolano Maderno. The incident occurred around 10:20 AM when the woman fell near the hamlet of Sanico. Due to the difficulty in reaching the accident site, the Alpine Rescue operators requested the intervention of the air rescue service, which took off from Brescia to provide assistance.
After being stabilized at the scene, the hiker was transported in yellow code to the Poliambulanza hospital in Brescia, where she arrived around 12:00 PM. Her condition was assessed as serious but not critical. The rescue operations also involved the Carabinieri from Salò and the Fire Brigade from Brescia.
