Hiker Rescued After Injury on Monte Pizzocolo by Alpine Rescue Team
A 59-year-old woman was rescued on Ferragosto in Toscolano Maderno after injuring herself while hiking on the trail from Napassino to Rifugio Pirlo. The incident occurred during the climb, when she was no longer able to continue on her own.
Rescue technicians from the Valle Sabbia Station of the Brescia Alpine and Speleological Rescue service reached her on the trail, stabilized and immobilized her, and then carried her by stretcher to an ambulance. Operations ended around 2 p.m., when she was handed over to medical staff for transfer to hospital.
