The Region has recently awarded the title of historical activity to 591 new commercial, artisanal, and catering businesses that have been active for at least forty years in Lombardy, of which 121 are located in the province of Brescia. Among these, 35 businesses have been supported by Confesercenti of Eastern Lombardy in their application process. This recognition is reserved for shops and establishments that have maintained their signage and product types unchanged for over four decades, preserving significant historical elements such as original furnishings and equipment. With this initiative, the total number of historical activities in the Brescia area now reaches 687.
On Lake Garda, several notable businesses have been honored, including Pizzeria Carmelo in Desenzano del Garda and Ristorante Capriccio in Manerba del Garda. Andrea Maggioni, the Confesercenti representative for the Garda area, emphasized how these businesses represent an important cultural and economic heritage for the local community. This recognition not only celebrates entrepreneurial history but also provides opportunities through grants and incentives for businesses listed in the regional register, thus contributing to making Lake Garda an increasingly attractive destination for tourists seeking authentic experiences.
