Historical activities in Brescia: awards on Lake Garda
The Lombardy Region has recently awarded the title of historical activity to 591 new commercial, artisanal, and restaurant establishments that have been active for at least forty years. Of these, 121 are located in the province of Brescia, including 35 businesses supported by Confesercenti of Eastern Lombardy in their application process. This recognition is reserved for shops and venues that have maintained their signage and merchandise type for decades, contributing to the preservation of local cultural heritage. With these new designations, the total number of historical activities in the province reaches 687, highlighting the resilience of Brescia’s businesses.
In the context of Lake Garda, several notable establishments have been honored, such as Pizzeria Carmelo in Desenzano and Ristorante Capriccio in Manerba. Andrea Maggioni, Confesercenti’s representative for the Garda area, emphasized the economic and cultural significance of these family-run businesses that have managed to withstand challenges over time. This recognition not only enhances local traditions but also serves as an attraction for tourists seeking authentic experiences, thereby contributing to making the Lake a distinctive destination in the European landscape.
