Honors Awarded to 38 Brescia Residents

Honours of the Order “Al Merito della Repubblica Italiana” will be awarded in Brescia on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, starting at 15:30, at the Diocesan Museum. The prefect, Andrea Polichetti, together with the mayors of the recipients’ municipalities, will hand diplomas to 38 citizens. The honours were granted by a Presidential Decree dated 2 June: 36 are Knights, one is an Officer, and one is a Grand Officer.

Among the recipients is Ettore Prandini, national president of Coldiretti and resident in Lonato del Garda, named a Grand Officer. Silvano Frigerio, an officer in the Italian Air Force based in Desenzano del Garda, will receive the rank of Commander. The list also includes Gianpietro Breda, a volunteer with the Fire Brigade in Desenzano, as well as other honourees from sectors including medicine, research, culture, volunteering, crafts, and civilian and military professions.
