Human Remains Recovered from Gardesana Lake Possibly Linked to Sergio Tamburini
A human skull and remains have been discovered in Lake Garda near Corno di Bò, prompting authorities to investigate whether they belong to Sergio Tamburini, who disappeared in 1973. Divers from Volontari del Garda are scheduled to recover further remains for DNA testing to confirm the identity.
The remains are believed to be linked to a fatal accident on May 26, 1973, involving a truck that crashed through a guardrail after a collision with a car driven by Bortolo Lombardi, who died instantly. The truck, carrying fertilizer, plunged into the lake; the body of passenger Egidio Ducati Carloni was recovered from 40 meters depth days later. Tamburini’s whereabouts have remained unknown since the incident.
