Hundreds Take Part as Bimbimbici Returns to Verona on May 10 for Safe Cycling Ride

Verona will host the 25th Bimbimbici edition on Sunday, May 10, 2026, a FIAB-promoted national event that promotes sustainable mobility, road safety, and active lifestyles for children and families. The Verona edition features a family-friendly cycling ride through safe city streets, with games and a final snack. Participants meet at 10:00 on the grass between Via Da Vico and Viale Colombo; the ride starts at 10:30 and ends around 12:00 at the same location. The event is organized by FIAB Verona Amici della Bicicletta APS and is open to all.

Bimbimbici 2026 runs throughout May in over 200 Italian cities, with the peak weekend on May 9–10. In 2025, more than 40,000 children, families and volunteers participated, part of a 25-year effort that has engaged about 1 million families. This edition includes a collaboration with Streets for Kids to promote safer school zones, and introduces a civic-mapping project of critical points around schools to help authorities prioritize safety interventions such as speed moderation or (temporary or permanent) pedestrianizations.
